Rollover crash leads to Freeburg power outage
A single-vehicle crash led to power being out Sunday night in Freeburg, the fire protection district said.
A little after 6:45 p.m. Sunday, firefighters were called to West Apple Street and Willow Springs Lane for a pickup truck that rolled over and struck some power lines, said Capt. Hans Mueller.
However, when emergency responders arrived, there was no one in the vehicle, nor in the vicinity of the truck, Mueller said.
The red pickup truck had severe front end damage, according to photo on the Freeburg Fire Company 1 Facebook Page.
The power on the west side of town also was out after the crash, Mueller said.
He added village crews were working to restore electricity.
