Skies are expected to be sunny Friday with a high of 43 across the metro-east.
But much warmer weather is expected over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
After the low drops to 31 under mostly cloudy skies Friday night, a front of warmer weather will start to move into the St. Louis metropolitan area.
The high Saturday is expected to reach 60 under sunny skies.
Saturday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 42.
On Sunday the temperature will reach 66. Skies will be mostly sunny and a 7-10 mph breeze will blow out of the south.
It will be mostly clear with a low of 38 Sunday night.
The extended forecast calls for a high of 58 Monday with a 20 percent chance of showers during the evening hours.
The high will be 57 Tuesday but there is a chance snow could return late Tuesday night and into Wednesday when the high will be 41.
