Temperatures expected to drop gradually; snow in forecast again

Temperatures are expected to drop gradually this coming week in the metro-east, with a chance of snow in the forecast by Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

On Sunday, it will be sunny with a high temperature near 74, but the rain clouds may come out in the afternoon. There is a 20 percent chance of showers between 3 and 7 p.m. The low temperature will be around 37, with wind gusts as high as 30 mph.

It is expected to be sunny and warm again on Monday, with a high near 63. Then, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the early morning hours Tuesday, between 1 and 7 a.m.

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm are likely between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday. Showers are expected to continue after 1 p.m. on the cloudy day. The high temperature will be near 51, and the low will be around 27, with wind gusts as high as 23 mph.

Rain and snow are likely Tuesday night, mainly before 11 p.m, but little or no snow accumulation is expected.
