Clouds will break up Friday over metro-east; warm, dry weather for weekend

Friday will start off cloudy. But skies will clear throughout the day in anticipation of a nice weekend.

By the afternoon, skies will become mostly sunny with a high of 48, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday night, the low will drop to 38 and it will be partly cloudy.

Skies will be sunny with a high of 56 Saturday. That’s five degrees warmer than the average high of 51 for March 5 in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

It will be partly cloudy Saturday night with a low of 33.

On Sunday, the high will be 62 with mostly sunny skies.

There is a 20 percent chance of showers Sunday night, when the low will be 45.

The warming trend will continue into the workweek with a high of 69 expected on Monday and Tuesday. But significant amounts of rain are likely on both days.
