▪ Reservations? Developers were supposed to reveal Thursday which two hotel franchises would be features in a restaurant, sports and convention center complex to be built near the Our Lady of the Snows Shrine in west Belleville.

But the announcement was suddenly postponed “for a couple of days” Thursday with developers insisting, despite the delay, that construction on the inns would start in 2016.

Hotel chains that are going into the development on Route 15 across from the Shrine ask for their branding to be held off "for a couple days."

▪ An East St. Louis minister who was pulled from his burning home Sunday has died.

Rev. Henry Nicholson, 82, who was the former pastor at True Light Missionary Baptist Church, passed away because of injuries suffered in the blaze.

The state fire marshal is investigating the fire and it could take up to six weeks to definitively determine how it started.
