Pontoon Beach man convicted of running meth lab
A Madison County jury on Thursday convicted Jacon Bronaugh, 19, of Pontoon Beach of possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials.
Police responded to a 911 call from a property on West Chain of Rocks Road in Granite last March and found what they believe was a meth lab in a detached shed.
The next day, charges were filed against Bronaugh and Buford Clark IV, 37, of Wood River. Clark has pleaded guilty to unlawful participation in meth manufacturing, a Class 1 felony, and was sentenced to 48 months probation.
Bronough will be sentenced before Madison County Circuit Judge Richard Tognarelli in 6-8 weeks. He faces a maximum of 2-5 years, and also faces additional charges of participation in meth manufacturing, arson and other offenses.
