The coming week will likely bring warm temperatures and thunderstorms to the metro-east, according to the National Weather Service.
On Sunday, there is an 80 percent chance of showers. In the evening, that chance decreases slightly to 60 percent. There will also be patchy fog before 11 a.m., and thunderstorms are possible after 1 p.m.
The high temperature Sunday is expected to be near 66, with a low around 53.
There is a 20 percent chance of showers before 10 a.m. Monday. It will be mostly cloudy throughout the day, with a high near 69 and a low around 52.
In the early morning hours Tuesday, there is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, beginning after 1 a.m. Then, there is chance of more showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m.
The National Weather Service’s hazardous weather outlook predicts a threat of large hail and damaging winds Tuesday in the St. Louis area, including St. Clair, Madison and Monroe counties. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.
It is expected to be mostly sunny on Tuesday, with a high near 77 and a low around 46.
