Madison County vote totals: Meyer defeats Bradford for recorder nomination

Tuesday’s primary election saw county treasurer incumbent Amy Meyer defeating her challenger, Shannon Bradford, while one incumbent Republican County Board member lost his seat to a primary challenge.

Meyer is seeking her second term as county recorder, and was challenged in the primary by Shannon Bradford, an attorney and former employee of the recorder’s office. But with all precincts reporting, she lead by nearly 9,000 votes.

“I’m incredibly pleased with the support I’ve received from the Democratic Party,” Meyer said. “Going forward, we will continue the same service we’ve had in place during my term, and continue to improve the technology in my office.”

In County Board District 2, incumbent Roger Alons lost his primary race to challenger Donald Moore 879 to 563 in the Republican primary. No one filed to run in District 2 on the Democratic side.
