Sun Thursday — but snow is possible this weekend — for metro-east

Sunny skies and pleasant temperatures are expected in the metro-east Thursday.

But another dose of lousy weather — including a chance of snow — is in the forecast for the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

The high Thursday will be 63 with a light breeze of 7-13 mph out of the west.

It will become mostly cloudy Thursday night when the low will drop to 38.

There is a 20 percent chance of rain possible Friday when the high will be 56.

Friday night, the chance of wet weather will increase to 40 percent and the low will reach 35.

There is a 40 percent chance of alternating rain and snow Saturday when the high will reach 48.

Snow is possible before 8 a.m. During the bulk of the day, any precipitation that falls would be in the form of rain. Snow is possible again in the evening when the low will drop to 33.

On Sunday skies will be mostly sunny with a high of 49.
