Top BND videos: Man ‘beat the ever-living crap’ out of toddler

▪  A Madison County jury deliberated nearly three hours before finding John Holmon III guilty of fatally beating a toddler.

Holmon was convicted of first-degree murder in the 2012 death of 21-month-old Jaesean Rusher in Granite City.

▪  The first egg hatched at the nest of a pair of bald eagles March 18 in Washington. The American Eagle Foundation was live streaming its Bald Eagle Nest Cam.

▪  Fairview Heights police officer Jeff Stratman’s squad car video of the traffic stop of Dallas McIntosh in the early morning hours of Sept 25, 2012 shows the stop ended in a blaze of gunfire. McIntosh was sentenced to 40 years in prison.

The shooting ended Stratman’s 27-year police career.

▪  About a dozen Belleville police units rushed to a report of shots fired in a Belleville neighborhood. No shots were fired, police said, but they did find a gun that had been reported stolen.
