Clearing skies Friday, but Easter rain is looming

Friday was off to a better start than was expected, as a freeze warning for the metro-east issued by the National Weather Service was canceled.

Temperatures in the 30s Friday morning will give way to clearing skies and an afternoon high of 54. Friday night, the low will reach 37 under partly cloudy skies.

It will be mostly sunny and warmer Saturday, with a high of 64. The chance for rain increases Saturday evening as the low bottoms out at 44.

Sunday, rain is likely throughout the day with high the temperature reaching 59. There’s a chance for showers Sunday night and the low will be 38.

Look for clear skies and a warmup Monday and Tuesday.
