▪  An alleged armed robber shot a McDonald’s employee but didn’t make off with any cash during an attempted robbery in Edwardsville.

A tall, thin white man wearing dark clothes, gloves and a face mask climbed through the drive-thru window, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the three employees preparing to open the restaurant for the day.

▪  A suspect was taken into custody after allegedly attempting an armed robbery of the Swansea Jack in the Box on Easter morning.

Swansea police surrounded the restaurant, with Belleville police responding for assistance, after an employee of the restaurant reported an armed robbery in progress.

▪  A major two-vehicle accident in Centreville caused injuries. At least one person was severely injured in the incident.
