Weather warning: Danger of fire Tuesday across metro-east
A windy and dry forecast has caused the National Weather Service to issue a warning about elevated fire danger that includes the metro-east.
The high Tuesday will be 56 under mostly sunny skies with winds blowing at up to 22 mph.
Skies will become increasingly cloudy later in the day Tuesday and a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms will move into the area late Tuesday night. The low will drop to 49.
Thunderstorms are likely Wednesday, especially in the morning when there is a 70 percent chance of wet weather. The high will be 62 and winds will gust at up to 32 mph.
Wednesday night it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 32 and winds of up to 18 mph.
There is a 30 percent chance of showers during the day Thursday, when the high will be 60.
Thursday night, there is a 20 percent chance of showers with a low of 40.
