Rain, gusting winds are expected Wednesday
It’s going to be a wet and windy day in the metro-east Wednesday.
There is a 90 percent chance of showers before 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Winds are expected to gust at up to 31 mph.
The high will reach 64.
Skies will become mostly cloudy by Wednesday night when the low will drop to 43. Winds will continue to blow out of the west at up to 23 mph.
There is a 30 percent chance of showers in the Thursday forecast with the most likely time for rain coming before 1 p.m. The high will be 61.
Thursday night, there is a 20 percent chance of showers with a low of 41.
It will be sunny but cool Friday and into the start of the weekend.
On Friday the high will be 55 with winds at up to 28 mph. Friday night the low will be 32 under mostly clear skies.
The high will reach only 51 Saturday, about 10 degrees cooler than the average high temperature of 61 for early April in the St. Louis area.
