Wood River Refinery at ‘reduced rate’ due to Keystone pipeline disruption
The Wood River Refinery in Roxana is operating at a reduced rate due to a disruption in the supply of incoming crude oil via the Keystone pipeline, a Phillips 66 spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday.
“We are operating the Wood River Refinery at a reduced rate due to the crude supply disruption from the Keystone pipeline. However, at this time we are still meeting product supply commitments to our customers in the region,” said spokeswoman Melissa Erker.
Erker would not comment on whether the pipeline outage was due to a leak detected upstream in South Dakota, but tweets from TransCanada, the company that operates the Keystone pipeline, speak for themselves:
We are currently investigating a potential incident on our #Keystone pipeline in #SouthDakota.
