St. Louis CBS station hires new anchor

KMOV, the CBS affiliate in St. Louis, has hired a new anchor for its 5 p.m. broadcast.

Courtney Bryant started at the Channel 4 station in September as a reporter for the 10 p.m. slot and co-anchored on Sunday nights with Cory Stark, according to a press release from the station.

Previously, Bryant worked in Bakersfield, Calif., where she covered, among other things, the Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo crash in 2014, and forest fires.

Bryant supports mental-health causes.
