Cool temperatures, sunny skies Tuesday
It will be cool and sunny across the metro-east Tuesday.
The high will be 55, according to the National Weather Service. That’s 11 degrees cooler than the average high temperature of 66 for April 12 in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
Skies will remain clear Tuesday night when the low will drop to 34, allowing patchy frost to form.
Frost will melt by about 8 a.m. Wednesday. After that, the temperature will rise to about 64 under sunny skies.
It will be mostly clear Wednesday night with a low of 40.
Temperatures will peak at 67 Thursday, when skies will be mostly sunny.
Skies will be partly cloudy Thursday night, when the low will be 49.
The high will again be 67 under mostly sunny skies Friday. The temperature will reach the low- to mid-70s Saturday and Sunday.
No rain is expected for the area until Sunday evening, when there is a 20 percent chance of showers.
