St. Clair County leaders are asking for the federal government to reconsider its decision to put a spy agency in north St. Louis instead of the metro-east.

According to local leaders, several mistakes were made in the decision process including an environmental impact report that actually represented St. Clair County, Michigan and St. Clair County, Missouri -- not Illinois.

▪ News-Democrat food writer Suzanne Boyle is on the hunt for the prime rib recipe from Ralph & Charlie’s restaurant in Pontoon Beach.

A reader wants the recipe for the famous dish and Boyle is asking readers for help in tracking it down.

▪ Cahokia firefighters were busy Monday night fighting a blaze on St. Leo Drive.
