IDOT plans work along Illinois 3 between Waterloo, Red Bud

The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to have lane restrictions along Illinois 3 in both directions between Waterloo and Red Bud, the agency said.

Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, weather permitting. This work will take place daily between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., IDOT said.

The agency said it plans to construct a new asphalt overlay on the route; work is expected to be completed by June.

Delays are expected along the route, IDOT said.
