IDOT to close lane of I-55 near Worden

The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to close the right lane of southbound Interstate 55 at the Illinois 4 overpass just east of Worden, the agency said.

Work is planned during non-rush hours beginning Monday, weather permitting, IDOT said.

All lanes will remain open to traffic from 6 to 9 a.m. each day during the project, IDOT said. The work is required in order to paint the bridge and is expected to be completed by the end of April.
