Thunderstorms likely Tuesday, slight chance they could become severe
Storms are likely for the metro-east Tuesday -- and there’s a slight chance they could become severe.
There is a 20 percent chance of rain early in the day. But after noon, the likelihood will increase to 50 percent, according to the National Weather Service.
There is a chance for gusty winds and large hail during the evening. But forecast maps indicate that the rough weather will likely stay to the west of the St. Louis metropolitan area.
The high temperature will reach 81.
The chance of storms will decrease to 30 percent in the early evening hours. But they’ll increase to 80 percent as the evening goes on. The low will be 63.
The likelihood of storms and showers will remain at 80 percent Wednesday morning when the high will be 80.
There is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms Wednesday night when the low will be 57.
Skies will be mostly sunny Thursday with a high of 80.
It will be partly cloudy with a low of 52 Thursday night.
