Chance of rain remains in forecast until midweek
Storms may linger Sunday in the metro-east, followed by possible showers next week, but the clouds are expected to clear by Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
On Sunday, there’s a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. It will be partly sunny, with a high near 73 and a low around 49.
Monday and Tuesday will bring a 20 percent chance of showers after 8 a.m. and before 8 p.m.
It is expected to be cloudy on Monday, and the temperature will drop from Sunday, with a high near 61 and a low around 48.
Tuesday, on the other hand, will be mostly sunny, with a high near 71 and a low around 49.
Rain clouds will clear Wednesday, when it is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 71 and a low around 46.
