Disaster training sessions planned for Belleville

Community Emergency Response Team disaster preparedness training sessions will be offered in Belleville this month.

Participants will receive comprehensive training in disaster preparedness and response so they can help themselves, their families and their neighbors until professional help arrives.

The free class covers disaster medical assistance, light search and rescue, fire safety, terrorism response and disaster psychology.

The next Community Emergency Response Team training will be at the Belleville First Assembly of God Church at 900 Fair Oaks Drive.

The training sessions are: 7-10 p.m. May 20; 8 a.m.-5 p.m. May 21; 7-10 p.m. May 27; and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. May 28.
