Meanwhile, a second juvenile suspect remains in custody but has not yet been charged, according to St. Clair County State’s Attorney Brendan Kelly.
The attack happened Thursday in the first block of Parkridge Drive in a development of town houses.
The victim told police she was pulling into her garage when she was ambushed by three males, one with a handgun. Two of the men took off in her 2015 Mini Cooper while the third stayed behind and sexually assaulted her.
▪ A Fairview Heights man who was paralyzed when he fell from a tree in March hopes he can attend a benefit in his honor this weekend.
Eric Reyes was dismantling a tree house when he fell 12-15 feet and landed on his back, breaking four ribs and a vertebrae, ending up paralyzed from the waist down.
A benefit in his honor will be held Saturday at the McCormick Center in Belleville.
