Don’t Miss This: Cahokia’s McRoberts inspired when he witnessed shooting

▪ After witnessing a drug deal gone bad, Cahokia High School senior Anthony McRoberts was inspired to pursue a career in law enforcement.

The 6-foot-10 high jumper on the track team was walking to school when he was 13 when he witnessed a person be shot to death on an East St. Louis alley. He called police and the murderer was caught.

Officers thanked McRoberts for his quick thinking and now he plans to study criminal justice at Illinois State University.
