IDOT resurfacing West Chain of Rocks Road near Granite City

The Illinois Department of Transportation is resurfacing West Chain of Rocks Road near Granite City, the agency said.

The work is taking place between Illinois 3 and St. Thomas Road, the agency said.

West Chain of Rocks Road is expected to be intermittently restricted to one lane until August, IDOT said.

Work is scheduled to take place between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. in order to construct a new asphalt overlay on the route.

IDOT said delays are expected along the road.
