Sun Monday, but storms likely rest of week

A warm and sunny day is expected Monday across the metro-east.

But storms are likely throughout the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service. There is a chance on Tuesday and Wednesday that storms could become severe.

The high Monday will reach 85 with a breeze from the south at 5-8 mph.

Monday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 61.

There is a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms in the early morning hours Tuesday. After 8 a.m., the chance of storms increases to 50 percent. The high temperature will reach 84.

The chance of thunderstorms remains at 50 percent Tuesday night, when the low will be 67.

A 60 percent chance of thunderstorms is in the forecast for Wednesday, when the high will be 84.

The low will be 68 Wednesday night and the chance of thunderstorms will remain at 60 percent.
