Storms that could pack hail and strong winds are poised to hit the metro-east, starting with a line of storms expected to douse the region Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The rain is expected to clear —briefly— after 10 a.m., after which you can expect a warm and humid afternoon. The high will reach 85.
The chance for rain returns Thursday evening when the low will be 70.
There’s a 70 percent chance of additional storms Friday with a high of 80. That chance lingers Friday night and a low of 66 is expected.
Still more rain is likely Saturday, though the chance of a storm diminishes throughout the day. The high will be 80.
Skies will clear by Sunday and Memorial Day.
