Soggy day in store for metro-east; rain departs by Sunday, Memorial Day
Rain working its way up through the region Friday morning will continue through midday, according to the National Weather Service.
There’s a 90 percent chance of light rain and the occasional thunderstorms Friday but it will be cooler – a high of 75 is expected.
Watch for a diminishing chance of rain overnight with a low of 66.
Saturday, temperatures will climb back up to 82. There’s a 30 percent chance of rain for the daytime and overnight hours.
Skies finally will clear Sunday, making way for a high of 86.
More of the same is forecast for Memorial Day—mostly sunny with a high of 85.
