Memorial Day forecast: Hot, slight chance of showers
The warmest temperatures of the season and a slight chance of showers will mark Memorial Day across the metro-east.
The mercury should climb to a high of 88 with a 20 percent chance of afternoon showers, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday night should be clear with a low of 64, before a greater chance of storms arrives in the metro-east.
Tuesday should see a high of 85 with a 30 percent chance of storms, and an overnight low of 65.
A 70 percent chance of storms is forecast for Wednesday, with a high of 82 and an overnight low of 61. The chance of storms will drop to 50 percent overnight Wednesday.
The extended forecast: 78 on Thursday under partly sunny skies, 79 on Friday under mostly sunny skies.
