Rain chances dominate the week

Some showers are making their way toward the metro-east from the south that possibly could soak the morning commute Tuesday.

Showers and storms remain likely throughout the day Tuesday as highs will reach 81, according to the National Weather Service. The chance for storms diminishes as the afternoon goes on, but then picks back up overnight.

There’s an overnight chance of 40 percent for additional storms Tuesday night, when the low will reach 65.

Thunderstorms are likely Wednesday as highs will reach 83. Wednesday night, watch for a diminished chance at 40 percent of more storms and a low of 63.

There’s only a 20 percent chance of storms for the daytime hours Thursday. It will be partly sunny with a high near 80.

Skies will clear briefly Friday, but then the chance for storms returns Friday evening.
