▪ The drivers of a truck and a passenger car have been cited in connection with a crash that sent a motorcycle rider to the hospital.

According to Fairview Heights Police Department reports, the driver of a pickup pulled out of a gas station onto Lincoln Trail into the path of an oncoming Chevrolet coupe.

The biker was trailing the car and was unable to avoid running into the collision.

▪ The St. Louis Bread Co. has received approval to open a new restaurant in Belleville.

The eatery is to be opened by November in the Belleville Crossing shopping center along Illinois 15 and Frank Scott Parkway.
