Pleasant weather Wednesday – but it’s going to get hot later in the week

Another very pleasant spring day is in the forecast Wednesday for the metro-east.

But a big change in the weather is expected after that.

Sunny skies and a high near 82 are predicted Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

A few clouds will move into the area Wednesday evening with a low of 61.

Temperatures will become much warmer starting Thursday when the high will jump up to 88 under mostly sunny skies.

It will be mostly clear Thursday night when the low will be 69.

On Friday the mercury will rise to 93, nine degrees warmer than the average high temperature of 84 for June 10 in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Skies will be sunny with a light breeze from the southwest.

The low will be 71 Friday under clear skies.

The weekend forecast calls for sunny skies Saturday with a high of 95 and a low of 73 Saturday night. On Sunday, there is a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms with a high of 92.
