The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis is investigating the case as neighbors are in shock to learn of the attack at an intersection surrounded by residences and church.
▪ A flight instructor was injured and had to be pulled out of his wrecked aircraft after a helicopter crashed Tuesday at St. Louis Downtown Airport.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash. A spokesman for the organization said it could take weeks for the case to be completed.
▪ A Caseyville motel that was raided last month in a prostitution sting is under pressure to close.
The village board voted Tuesday to move to revoke the Rodeway Inn’s business license.
Owner Popatal “Pete” Patel was charged in May with indecent solicitation of a child, money laundering, promoting prostitution and maintaining a public nuisance.
