Forecast: Hot again today, Sunday

It’s gonna be another hot one, folks.

The forecast for Saturday called for a high in the mid-90s, with a heat index around 100.

There’s a remote chance for a stray shower or storm.

Sunday’s forecast calls for more of the same: hot and humid with a high in the mid-90s.

Chances for a shower increase into next week.

Monday...Hot and humid. Partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. High in the mid 90s. Highest heat index readings of around 100 in the afternoon. Light wind.

Monday night...Partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low in the mid 70s.

Tuesday...Hot and humid. Partly sunny in the morning then becoming mostly cloudy. A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. High around 90. Highest heat index readings of around 100 in the afternoon.

Tuesday night...Partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low in the mid 70s.

Wednesday...Hot and humid. Partly sunny with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. High in the lower 90s. Heat index readings of around 100.

Wednesday night through thursday night...Partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low around 70. High around 90.

Friday...Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. High in the lower 80s.
