Hardee’s restaurant in Belleville to offer free food to troops and their families Thursday

The Hardee’s restaurant in Belleville is celebrating the annual Stars for Heroes fundraising campaign with a fundraiser that benefits The Fisher House and the Disabled Athlete Sports Association.

On Thursday, all active military personnel and veterans will receive one free small sausage-and-egg biscuit combo or one free one-third pound cheeseburger combo after regular breakfast hours at the Hardee’s at 2516 Green Mount Commons Drive, Belleville.

All proceeds collected that day will support military members and their families.

The Stars for Heroes program, which has raised more than $5 million since its start in 2011, relies on the teamwork of Carl’s Jr.’s and sister chain Hardee’s customers, franchisees and employees to rally behind the nation’s military and their families.
