IDOT: Illinois 3 lane restrictions planned in Venice

The Illinois Department of Transportation this week plans to have lane restrictions along Illinois 3/Cedar Street in Venice, the agency said.

The left lane of southbound Illinois 3 between Bissell Street and Broadway/Illinois 3 is scheduled to be closed from 9 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, IDOT said.

The right shoulder of northbound Illinois 3 is scheduled to be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m on Thursday, according to the agency.

Workers for Terminal Railroad plan on rehabilitating the overhead railroad structure, IDOT said.

IDOT asked motorists to be cautious while traveling through the work area.
