Mother Nature continues to bombard region with storms, heat
An excessive heat warning was extended in the metro-east until 7 p.m. Saturday by the National Weather Service, but temperatures could cool down Wednesday with a chance of rain and scattered thunderstorms.
Wednesday has a 30 percent chance of storms between 9 a.m. and noon, but otherwise, Wednesday is set to have partly sunny skies with a high of 95. Heat index values could reach as high as 105.
Wednesday night is set to be partly cloudy with a low around 75.
