Sunny weekend ahead in metro-east, slight chances of rain

This weekend in the metro-east will be met with at least two slight chances of rain, sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 80s.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday is set to be mostly sunny with a 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. The highest temperature is expected to get up to 87.

Friday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 67.

The National Weather Service predicted another slight chance of thunderstorms for Sunday, but otherwise, this weekend is set to be sunny.

Tuesday...Hot and humid. Partly sunny with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. High in the lower 90s. Heat index readings of around 106.

Wednesday...Hot and humid. Partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. High in the mid 90s. Heat index readings of around 106.
