Repair work planned on ramp off I-55/64

The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to have repair work on the westbound Interstate 55/64 ramp to southbound Illinois 3 in East St. Louis on Thursday, the agency said.

Workers plan to carry out repairs along the edge of the pavement, IDOT said. Work is planned between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Flaggers are planned to be used to guide motorists through the work zone, the agency said.

IDOT said motorists should be patient, reduce speed, obey all warning signs and allow extra time when traveling through the area.
