Local congressmen to talk to metro-east seniors on Wednesday

U.S. Reps. Rodney Davis, R-Taylorsville, John Shimkus, R-Collinsville, and Mike Bost, R-Murphysboro, are scheduled to host a Connecting Seniors to Services event on Wednesday in Collinsville.

The event is scheduled to include presentations by Medicare and the Social Security Administration as well as include a resource fair.

The congressmen are each scheduled to speak at the beginning of the event.

To attend, the Connecting Seniors to Services event is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the Collinsville Township Senior Center at 420 E. Main St.
