Despite order of protection, she went back again, police say
A 46-year-old Belleville woman remained in custody Wednesday in the St. Clair County Jail on two charges of allegedly violating an order of protection.
Michelle K. McIntyre, of the 1700 block of Roosevelt Avenue in Belleville, was arrested last Saturday, a day after a Shiloh Police Department officer responded to a residence in the 2600 block of Meridian Lake Drive in connection with a report of a violation of an order of protection, according to a Shiloh Police statement
The officer met with the victim and determined a violation had taken place. An investigation was initiated. McIntyre was not on scene and, after an initial search, the officer could not locate her.
Shiloh officers were sent to the same residence for a second report of a violation of an order of protection involving the same suspect and victim.
With the assistance of the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department, the suspect was located and taken into custody without incident.
Two orders of protection have been taken out against McIntyre since 2014. In September 2014, a Belleville woman who described herself as McIntyre’s aunt petitioned for and received an order of protection against McIntyre. The aunt’s address at the time was the 2600 block of Meridian Lake Drive — the same address as where Friday’s incident took place, according to police documents.
The second order of protection taken out against McIntyre was approved in September 2015. The petitioner, who lived in the 1700 block of Roosevelt Avenue, at the time described himself as a boyfriend of McIntyre’s.
McIntyre is being held in lieu of $40,000 bond.
