Showers, storms and cooler temps in forecast

The forecast calls for a wet weekend with slightly cooler temperatures.

The National Weather Service said there’s a 30 percent chance of rain for the metro-east on Saturday, a 40 percent chance of rain on Saturday evening and a 30 percent chance of rain on Sunday.

High temperatures will reach the mid-80s on Saturday and the lower 80s on Sunday.

Tonight...Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low near 70. North wind around 10 mph in the evening becoming light after midnight.

Sunday...Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. High in the lower 80s. Light wind in the morning becoming east around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday night...Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely. Low near 70. East wind around 10 mph in the evening becoming light after midnight. Chance of rain 60 percent.

Monday...Showers and thunderstorms likely. High around 80. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.

Tuesday...Mostly cloudy in the morning then becoming partly sunny. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. High in the mid 80s.
