Portion of Scott Drive within Air Force Base to be closed for two days

The Illinois Department of Transportation said that weather permitting, Old Illinois 158/Scott Drive between Patriots Drive and Winters Street in Scott Air Force Base, is scheduled to be closed starting at 8 a.m. Monday.

The closure is scheduled to run through Tuesday, the agency said.

The road closure is necessary to allow the Norfolk Southern Railroad Company to rehabilitate its crossing, IDOT said.

A marked detour will be in place to guide motorists around the closure, IDOT said.
