Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois is looking for additional golf teams to participate in the group’s 26th annual golf tournament fundraiser, where supporters will get a chance to meet the organization’s new leader.

Natalie Jablonski recently was appointed president and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters, which is a mentoring network that matches adult volunteers with children in Clinton, Madison, Monroe and St. Clair counties.

Jablonski, 38, of Swansea, spent the last 10 years with St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, where she was executive director of mission integration and environment in her most recent role.

Barb Cempura, who was president of the group for 35 years, retired last fall.

Jablonski said she is excited to take over the reins at Big Brothers Big Sisters.

“For me, it was all about giving back to the community. I was born and raised and continue to live here in the St. Clair County community,” she said.

“As a mom of two, it made it very easy for me to see how important this mission of serving our youth was in order to look at our future.”

Jablonski looks forward to meeting Big Brothers Big Sisters supporters at St. Clair Country Club in Belleville next week.
