Belleville’s Lighting of the Fountain at the Public Square canceled due to weather
Belleville’s Lighting of the Fountain and Sing-Along have been canceled due to inclement weather.
The event, a ceremonial unveiling of the Exchange Club of Belleville’s decoration of the Veterans Memorial Fountain downtown, originally was set for 6 p.m. Friday night. It is one of many holiday events scheduled for this weekend.
The city has not said if it plans to reschedule the event.
Friday’s Santa Parade, which this year followed a route from from North Third Street to East Main Street, went on as scheduled.
