Belleville subdivision entrance to be closed for road construction

The entrance to the Orchards subdivision off South Green Mount Road will be closed beginning Monday so crews can perform concrete patch repairs on Golf Course Drive.

Repairs will be made on Golf Course Drive from South Green Mount Road to Mammoth Lake Lane. The work is expected to be finished by Friday, Oct. 2.

Use Plum Hill School Road from Mascoutah Avenue to enter and exit the Orchards subdivision during this roadwork.

City Engineer Michael Velloff said RCS Construction Inc. of Wood River was awarded the nearly $107,000 contract for the roadwork because the company had the lowest bid.
