St. Clair County deputies report missing woman has been found safe
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday night said a missing woman has been found safe.
Patricia S. Griffin was found near her home and nearly 200 people had helped in the search, the sheriff’s department said.
“We would like to thank everyone who shared this post, made a phone call or walked the neighborhood to help,” the department said in a Facebook post.
Griffin, who has dementia, was last seen at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Signal Hill neighborhood of Belleville, the sheriff’s had announced in a CodeRED phone call to residents and in a Facebook post.
The department thanked the Belleville Police Department, the Signal Hill Fire Department, and rescue workers from the St. Clair Special Emergency Services for their assistance.
