Missing Belleville 13-year-old found safe

St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department has located a 13-year-old girl reported missing Friday night.

Jayda D. Miller, 13, was reported missing at 5:30 p.m., according to a news release posted on Facebook early Saturday morning.

“She is known to frequent the Belleville, IL, east end area and was last observed in this location immediately before the report was filed,” the release stated.

Specifically, Jayda was on Belle Valley Drive, off Mascoutah Avenue, Lt. James Hendricks said.

“The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by a Belleville police officer Saturday advising a possible location for Miller after she was observed in an east end neighborhood.,” Sheriff’s Department Lt. James Hendricks said Saturday.

Deputies responded to the area and located the girl at about 4:14 p.m.
