Ready to celebrate? Here’s your Belleville St. Patrick’s Day events schedule

St. Patrick’s Day is on Monday but you can celebrate the holiday early by attending events all day on Saturday in downtown in Belleville.

Here’s the schedule:

9 a.m.

Lucky Leprechaun 5K and Kids’ Rainbow Dash. The 5K run starts and ends at Union United Methodist Church at 712 E. Main St. Go to runsignup.com for more information.

11 a..m.

The Ancient Order of Hibernians hosts a St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The route starts at Third and West A streets. From there it goes south to West Main Street and then east on Main Street to Oak Street.

11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

St. Patrick’s Day Block Party in downtown Belleville. After the parade, East Main Street will remain closed from Illinois Street to west of St. Charles Street for the block party. Also, the north and south sides of High, Jackson and Church streets along East Main Street will be closed. The streets are expected to be reopened Saturday night.
